Maspalomas is one of the best known resorts located to the South of Gran Canaria. It is a hive for all types of restaurants, cafes, and snack bars. From traditional Canarian menus to African special cuisines, or Indian to Chinese dishes, Maspalomas restaurants cater for all budgets and tastes.
Here you will find a selection of eateries that come highly recommended. As it is a beach resort you will find many beach side cafes and restaurants that allow their guests to relax overlooking the beach and blue sea. Many of the Spanish cafes provide tapas, seafood paella with some Spanish sangria. Here you’ll be eating with the locals, whom prefer Canarian salty potatoes served up with parrotfish and spicy mojo sauce.
At evening time, Maspalomas is more relaxed than its neighbour Playa del Ingles, along with it;s night-clubs. Stroll along the seafront paseo, and be greeted by the many bars and pavement cafés. A good number of places have live music, that play jazz or salsa music, adding to the relaxed ambience.
If you walk through Boulevard El Faro, there’s a whole row of restaurants. Many of these cater for dining al fresco. This is a favourite place as the sun drops behind the Maspalomas lighthouse. There is such a choice of Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Asian, or Spanish food here.
