Taurito is located between Puerto Rico and Peurto Mogan. It is also just a 40-minute drive from Gran Canaria Airport. Also, there is a regular bus service linking these other resorts to the airport.
Taurito is a resort that has all-inclusive hotels clinging to the cliff edges. Therefore there are not the usual restaurants in the resort. All the restaurants are located within each hotel and are mainly within walking distance. However, there are some small bars near the beach area. Also, there are several sport and leisure activities for the more energetic traveler like squash, mini-golf tennis, and bowling.
Beaches
There is just one main beach in this resort. It is an artificial man-made beach, with good sand. The sand is darker than the other artificial beaches close by at Playa de Mogan. There are parasols and sun loungers to hire on the beach.
Attractions
Lago Taurito Oasis
This is a small waterpark next to the next to Paradise Lago Hotel. It has a huge saltwater pool, one of the biggest in the whole of Gran Canaria. It has plenty of slides for all ages. There are sun loungers to rent and a great place to stay all day with a family.
Shopping
There is not the usual amount of shops like in other resorts but there are little shops just behind the beach. For the best shops, it is best to get the bus a few kilometres away at Puerto de Mogan or visit the bigger resort of Puerto Rico.
Car Hire
There are no car rental outlets here so it is best to hire your car from the airport upon arrival. Booking in advance and securing your car hire is essential during peak season.
