Spain is considering carefully to allow UK tourists to enter without PCR test.

Currently, Spain, including the Balearic and Canary Islands is not on the UK green travel list. However, Spain is considering carefully, allowing UK tourists to enter without a negative PCR test from May 20 2021.

Spain’s tourism minister Maria Reyes Maroto said the lifting of entry requirements “will allow the opening of the British market so they can come to Spain.”

The Spanish Foreign Minister, Arancha Gonzarlez Laya, said this Wednesday that she maintains “good” contacts with London so that her country can once again appear on the British “green list” of safe destinations for covid-19, in order to facilitate the return to Spain from UK tourists.

The most important thing is that vaccination in Spain is accelerated, something that the country “is going in the right direction”, and that the European Union (EU) lifts, probably next week, the restrictions imposed on British travelers.

Among other things, the head of Spanish diplomacy explained that the EU is working on the development of a vaccination certificate that allows the free movement of citizens who have been vaccinated and that will facilitate entry into Spain, while those who have not received the preparation may also enter your country but with PCR tests.
